Perfection by the Coliseum | Palazzo Manfredi
Arriving at Palazzo Manfredi in Rome (formerly known as Hotel Gladiatori), you learn that 99% of the time Palazzo Manfredi's charming “Direttore”, Bruno Papaleo, will be there to welcome clients personally and make them feel at home. In case he is not there, have no fear – the rest of the staff at the hotel is no less charming and welcoming. Everything about them says “We are here to help you.”
Unique in Rome? | The Inn at the Roman Forum
This is one of my favorites in Rome. Located in a residential area (and not looking like a hotel at all) this property has beautiful decor, lots of thoughtful touches (like light afternoon snacks served in a cozy lounge with a rooftop garden) AND a Cryptoporticus dating back 2000 years inside the hotel!
